Every great story starts somewhere ♡
It started with a nickname
My husband Andy started calling me Birdy. Once a nickname sticks that well, it becomes part of who you are. Thirty-six years later and it’s still going strong.
The tattoo that made it official
On my daughter Sian’s hen do, I got a hummingbird tattooed on my ankle — to represent Birdy. That little bird is now the logo you see everywhere on this site. Permanent in more ways than one!

With a qualification in graphic design, two decades of building websites and fifteen years of social media strategy behind me, Birdy Creative is where all of that experience finally has a home of its own.

When I’m not designing or building websites, life is full, loud and wonderfully creative. I’m a homebody at heart who loves interiors, fashion and making things beautiful – whether that’s a brand identity or a room makeover. My husband and I do everything ourselves at home, from the garden to the decor, so the creative instinct never really switches off.

Every creative business needs a mascot. Ours just happens to be a cat with excellent taste, questionable keyboard etiquette and an uncanny ability to sit on exactly what you’re working on.
Socks joined Birdy Creative approximately six months ago and has since contributed enormously to the culture of the business – mostly through napping, demanding attention at inopportune moments and bringing an undeniable charm to the whole operation.
We wouldn’t have it any other way. ♡
